Identifying Patterns. Promoting Accountability

The Schools Where the Most Single-Sex Violations Were Identified database highlights colleges and universities where our Title IX Equal Protection Project identified 10 or more potential Scholarship & Program violations through comprehensive reviews of publicly available institutional policies and opportunities.

Each institution included in this database underwent an extensive review process. Where appropriate, complaints were submitted to the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR), and the status of those complaints continues to be tracked as part of our ongoing research.

This database provides a transparent view of institutions with the highest concentration of potential Title IX concerns, helping students, researchers, policymakers, journalists, and the public better understand how sex-restricted educational opportunities continue to exist across colleges.

What You'll Find

Use the database below to explore:

  • Schools where 10 or more potential Scholarship & Program Title IX violations were identified
  • School location and OCR region
  • OCR complaint filing dates
  • Complaint outcomes dates
  • Breakdown of male and female exclusion
  • Total violations resolved by OCR

While Title IX requires equal educational opportunities regardless of sex, our research found that the overwhelming majority of identified Scholarship & Program violations involved opportunities that excluded male students.

By making this information publicly accessible, we aim to increase transparency, encourage voluntary compliance, and support equal protection under Title IX for every student.
